CAA protests, travelling, rishikesh, mussoorie, mountains, hills

The universe comes with a package of an instant surprise in the most joyous times of our lives. One moment it seems to be running smoothly; on the next, you receive a CHOKESLAM out of nowhere. The most disgusting thing is that it does not even let you pass out. It teases by letting you experience all the impact and forces you to laugh on your own condition. This is what happened to us on the night of 20th of DEC 2019.

Surprise, universe, making plans, planning, trips

The end sem of our grad school in engineering was going on. We(me and my friends) were self-amused by the mere idea of planning a vacation. We were talking about the schematics of the trip and did not worry about the next day's aerospace propulsion exam. The exams are similar to one-night stand for us. The all that we thought of was the date, places to visit and the weather conditions. As it seems, all the ingredients were ready to be spoiled by the hands of persistent human arrogance. A massive protest spread across the whole nation against the CAA(Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019) passed in the Indian Parliament. Streets were flooded with people gathering in for and against of CAA. The nation saw one of the most violent protests ever held. The condition worsened so bad that the schools and colleges were shut down along with internet ban in few states. Hence our exams were postponed till January devouring our plans and fantasies of the most awaited trip.

Being an engineering student is not easy. For us, vacations are not like an ordinary vacation. As a third-year grad student, we have to think about the internships, training and specialised skill-building. These tasks occupy our entire vacation. Hence, it was our only chance to plan a trip and execute it. So, it was clear we were not going to give up and what happened next, was just another chapter of our ventures.

Training, internships, hardwork, python, simulation, engineering

Our semester ended on the 10th of January 2020 and, two days later, we reserved our tickets for the most awaited trip. We were scheduled to board our train on the 15th of January and, we packed our bags quickly in awe. It was sure that we were going to Rishikesh also known as the "Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas" and "Yoga Capital of the World". The rest of the trip, where to go next and how much further we must go was indefinite. Housing lots of enigmas in our hearts we left our lives of anxiety and stress to witness one of the most serene ventures one could have. From the divine touch of the TRIVENI GHAT with the essence of "Ganga Arti" to falling into the arms of the "Queen of Hills, MUSSOORIE" through the scenic beauty of the SHIVPURI BEACH; we blessed ourselves with the unsung beauty of life and congratulated ourselves for being alive again.
